What's the voltage on the Geforce 4 Ti4600?

Greetings,

I've looked all over the place, and I can't find how many volts the Geforce 4 ti 4600 VTD draws. The reason I need to know this is because I'm running the the MSI nforce 420 D based motherboard. There's a warning on the motherboard saying not to put in an AGP card that sucks more than 1.5 volts. I'd like to get a Geforce 4 Ti 4600 or a ATI 9700, but I need to know if they won't toast my motherboard.

Thanks,
Kevin "The Internal" D.

Kevin,

You do not Suck Volts, you Draw Amps. Since you have nForce, use the rule of thumb, any Video Card more powerful than the internal Graphics card on nForce is 1.5 volts.

The old 3.3V Vid Cards do not fit in a 1.5V AGP Slot. The only problem was a few years ago, a few 3.3V cards were made that could fit a 1.5V AGP slot. Those cards are now dated and do not have near the performance of your onboard video so do not worry about it.

Take Care,

Richard
