another reason could be microsoft edge running in the backround due to startup boost with hardware acceleration on which uses the gpu i had this problem too apart from installing the nvidia sound drivers which only works for a few days for me idm dl manager plugin was causing microsoft edge to start running in the backround even though i dont use it i use firefox
