Hello,
I am having an issue with MSI Center. It won't start, keeps giving me an error saying to select [Yes} on the UAC to finish installation, which I do, but the error keeps coming up.
MSI Center Service Error 3.png

I read on the net that it's due to the service "MSI_Center_Service" is not running. When I tell it start start I get error 3: the specified path cannot be found.
I've uninstalled MSI Center, rebooted, reinstalled and same issue. I've done this several times.

So I want to remove the service from the list and start 100% from scratch.
How do I remove the service from the list so that I can reinstall it without any problems?

Also, I just noticed my username - how do I change it?
Note: I am legally blind and may have missed the spot to change it, but I saw on my account that said last change was today as I just created the account, but wasn't given a choice on the username.

Have you tried uninstalling MSI Center with the MSI Center Uninstaller Tool? I don't know if it actually removes the "MSI_Center_Service" or not, but it should help clean things up a bit in preparation for a reinstall...

As for the username, I think you have to wait a while before you can change it. I don't know how many days/weeks you have to wait though, so just try again later.

Thanks for the replies.
I did get it fixed.
But the cleaner tool didn't remove the service, instead I looked up in general how to remove services and followed those steps - I was then able to do a clean install and it's working now.
And as you see I was able to change my username too :)

Thanks
