Purpose of the MSI Wind U90/U100/U100+ Notebook Patch:
* Force OFF CPU's Hyper-Threading Technology
* Patch NVRAM to modify Turbo function to be engaged by default, and apply @24% OC [E.g get ready to be activated with Fn+LCTRL or Fn+F10]
* Fixed issue Bluetooth cannot be turned ON in DOS
* Fixed issue SMBIOS Type 2 data incorrect.
* Add ==> Assign new function for the secondary MS$ special Windows button .
* Split ==> Fn+F11 Enable/Disable WLAN only.
* Split ==> CTRL+Fn+F11 Enable/Disable Bluetooth only.
* Add ==> Fn+ LCTRL ==> Enable/Disable ECO/Turbo Modes {Secondary way more comfortable}
* Add ==> Fn+ LWin ==> Enable/Disable WebCam {Secondary way more comfortable}
* Add ==> Fn+ Space ==> Mute On/Off {Secondary way more comfortable}
* Add ==> Fn+ C ==> Launch Calculator
* Add ==> Fn+ "Menu Button"[right Windows key] ==> Launch default E-mail client{Outlook, Thunderbird etc.} and without Fn:
Launch IE/Firefox{or redirect to home page if browser is already open and active else launch another copy}
* Apply custom logo screen.
* Fixed issue FAN always run at least at 45% RPM in Turbo Mode, without the matter how low is the CPU temp.
/* The FAN is adjusted depend of CPU Temp and NOT because the Turbo mode is used,
so when the CPU is running at low temp {normally in idle}, the same temp as Normal Mode,
the FAN will turn off like its works in Normal Mode. */
* Optimizing FAN Performance when notebook is working in Turbo Mode.
{
- Add-ed custom trigger Level 0 at 20% FAN RPM, CPU FAN will stay off until CPU reach 40C temp.{Real temp}
- Modify Turbo profile for CPU FAN Temp table trigger level 0, from 52 to 20.[C]
- Modify Turbo profile for CPU FAN RPM table trigger level 0, from 45 to 0.[RPM,%]
- Modify Turbo profile for CPU FAN Temp table trigger level 1, from 58 to 50.[C]
- Modify Turbo profile for CPU FAN RPM table trigger level 1, from 45 to 50.[RPM,%]
}
* Fixed issue when AC Main Power is plugged, Brightness automatically goes to 100%
{
- Modify stage 9 of Brightness control, adjusted from 200 to 80.
- Arrange Brightness control stage 9 to match with stage 5
[50%, which is actually 40% of monitor brightness because they are not adjusted with proportional increment],
So when AC Main is plugged it will not make difference for mode 1[Normal Mode] when its running at battery{where stage 5 is default}
or AC Main Power.
If ECO Mode is used and AC Main is plugged it will increase with one brightness level only.
{Not bump to the max like its happen in official BIOS}
- Modify stage 8 of Brightness control, adjusted from 184 to 195.
}
* Fixed keyboard resource conflict.
{
- NumLock will not longer cause permanent Blue keys printing characters and render keyboard useless for regular tasks.
- Blue sign now are formed only by pressing 'Fn+ desired blue key". [NumLock must be On 1st]
- Fixed keys["7","8","9","0","U","I","O","P","J","K","L",";","M",".","/"] their blue values and NumLock function
}
