I know that the maximum disk size for Windows 10 is 16TB if using GPT, but I fail to find any information for the maximum disk size for Windows 11.

8K 500FPS rtx virtual reality internet will need at least 2 billion TB lol
No rush for me, just started playing some games in 1440P, but mostly still with 1080P and that's fine with me, but always nice to have extra storage for games that get larger in volume every year.
Most of my films are in 720P (80%) & 1080P (20%), just started streaming in 1080P now that I upgraded to unlimited, but when I game I make sure other streamers are in 720P.

the 16TB limit is in MBR so 32 sectors in 4kbytes large sectors.

GPT is upto 9.4 EB on standard partition of 64 sectors of 512bytes and if you go to 4kbytes its ridiculously large (way in excess of 100EB)

i would say so as in GPT its 9,400,000 TB for 64 sectors of 512bytes per drive and if you go to 4kbytes it gets very silly very fast.

you would need 2,937,500,000 1080p files to fill that on a single drive (64 sectors of 512bytes per drive) lol

that would be a little over 500,000 Years of solid Video on a single drive LMMFAO

I dread to think of the time it would take to download all those files :deadlaugh:

yep its 500,000 Years of solid Video at 1080p on the 512bytes ones and if you went to 4kbytes it would be somewhere in the 5+ million year play range LMAO

just out of curiosity i did a calculation of the time it would take on a solid Gigabit connection working at max speed to download that for a single drive and would be around 2600 Years to fill it.

Over 60 generations at that speed, totally insane :lmao:

yep if using GPT I think no-one has anything to worry about for quite some time unless people get solid Terabit internet connections anything over GPT is not going to become a issue for a very long time (at that it would be 2.6 years of solid download) so would probably have to be in the 10-100 Terabit range to need more in reality. :hiha:

Not so. I just built a I9 system and a fresh install of the latest window 10 pro would not recognize my 16tb drive. It would show up in Bios, but not in windows 10.
Intel Core i9-12900KF
MSI PRO Z690-A WiFi ProSeries Motherboard
CORSAIR Vengeance DDR5 32GB

Crucial P3 Plus 2TB Gen4 M.2 SSD
Seagate 8TB SATA Hard Drive
Seagate 10TB SATA Hard Drive

System.
