Just a small question, hope it ain't to big for it to need its own topic, thought it would be ok here.

I'm running version 7.3 from 2008-11-06. Its the latest shown here: http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=downloaddetail&type=bios&maincat_no=1&prod_no=1393. Would flashing to latest Beta be a good thing to do? I have got some problems with DDR3-1600Mhz Ram. Can only get them to post at 1200Mhz with very lose timings and high voltage... Stock, 1066Mhz, boots fine, but then performance is worse then with DDR2 800Mhz on 4-4-4-12 2T @2.1V. Would the chance of getting them to run at 1600Mhz be higher with latest bios? Or should I wait for 7.4 final, and if waiting is better when can I expect it? Got an X48C-Platinum, MS7353 V:3.0. Sticks I'm trying to get to work are these: http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/memory/ocz_ddr3_pc3_12800_platinum_enhanced_bandwidth_edition

Thanks in advance.

I'm that same guy from one of those topics on OCZ. Its always trouble with this board... Wish I went with Asus or Gigabyte with only DDR2 memory sometimes. Its just all to good in theory, not that other boards don't have problems at all, its just some of the most simple things that seems to screw this board up, but I still find it a waist to just buy a new motherboard so I just try to find help everywhere on what I could do. Haven't tried a Beta BIOS and I'm not sure about using it, hope 7.4 will be released in the near future... If it wont then I will try a beta bios. I'm going to RMA my 1600Mhz sticks and get a refund, gonna wait on buying DDR3 ram until I'm sure that I can use them properly. Now I can't even get more out of my DDR2 rated 800Mhz 4-4-4-12 @2.1v. Trying to get them to work at 900Mhz at 5-5-5-15 @2.1v to see if I can overclock my CPU some more then the 3.2Ghz I have now. But I dont know what the problem is, timings are loose enough it got enough voltage, but when I change the ratio of the FSB so that it clocks them a little higher the motherboard keeps rebooting resulting in a CMOS clear... Not trying to make this into an overclocking topic, just wish if someone could tell me if a Beta BIOS could help me out here, if the chance would be higher to get things going and if it would be worth it...

For me it's ok

Core 2 Duo E8400, FSB 400, ratio 1:2

OCZ ( 2 x OCZ3P16001G ) 1600 Mhz 8-8-8-17-50-1T
