Hello, I have a machine with an Ikonik Zaria case which has the standard front audio connectors, a headphone and a mic jack. It has a HD Audio connector and an AC97 connector. Originally the AC97 was connected but I wasn't getting any sound. So, I switched it to HD Audio (because that's what the motherboard uses I believe) and then updated the drivers from Realtek's website (v 6.0.1.5772). However, I still don't get any sound. I messed with all the settings in the Realtek HD Audio Manager like the 'disable front panel jack detection' option, but nothing seems to work. The headphones and mic work when plugged into the rear jacks.
I'm not sure if it's relevant, but with the Realtek drivers uninstalled, Windows doesn't detect when the headphones are plugged in - in the playback devices list, headphones would always say 'not plugged in'.
I've seem similar threads on these forums about using jumpers to fix it, but they weren't for my motherboard. Any advice?
