I've had a motherboard for about 5 months now, but one thing has been bugging me all along.  When I initially power on the machine it takes 15-20 seconds before the post process starts, by this I mean that fans and video cards do not power up, it just sits dark with only power led kicking on.

Now once it starts I have no problems, but the thing boots significantly slower overall than my old machine due to this long delay.  Once the booting actually starts the booting speed is good.

I'm just wondering if there is something I can do to speed this up?

My System
CPU Intel I7 920
MB - X58 Platinum SLI
Memory - 12 GB OCZ PC12800
HD - 2 x Seagate Barricuda 500gb Raid 0
GPUs - 2 - EVGA GTX285 SC SLI
PSU - Antec TPQ 850

Can you try booting with the system in barebone conditions and see if it still takes this amount of time to startup?
