X58M Only See's 4gb Ram but have 6gb

Hi,just built a new computer for a friend and i have installed 6gb of corsair TR3X6G1333C9 but when i load up windows and have a look at system its only saying 4gb ram.im running windows 7 64bit and bios is 3.23 and the processor is a core i7 920.

Check if the board detects all 6GB during bootup. You may want to try swapping the RAMs around the slots to test out.

The latest bios is V320(http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=downloaddetail&type=bios&maincat_no=1&prod_no=1796).

yea it finds it all on boot up as i looked in the bios under memory z and there all there but once ive loaded windows it states theres only 4gb

also just updated the board to newest bios and still only says 4gb ive checked the ram with memtest and was all ok no errors so im baffled.

Download CPUID and check how many RAMs are detected from the application.

Check each of your memory modules and make sure all are ok.Swich the memory's position around the slots and clean the gold finger for a try.Maybe the memory is not installed properly.

type : DDR3
Size ; 6144mbytes
Channels# : triple
NB Frequency : 2122.8

There is more info but i think its irrelavent.

Problem is the latest bios, that with some memory module don t see 6GB...

i also with Corsair Domiantor GT i have same your problem.. i resolved with an older bios

CPUID detects 6GB physical. Where did you see the 4GB detection?
