X670E Ace Bios Problems

Hardware:
Processor: 7950X
Motherboard: MSI X670E Ace
GPU: EVGA 3080 TI FTW3
MEMORY: G.SKILL Trident Z5 Neo RGB Series AMD EXPO 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000 (PC5 48000)
PSU: EVGA 1000W P6
Cooler: 360 Phanteks AIO MPH

After updating my BIOS today on my PC. When booting up I was getting BIOS Code A6 and the RAM light was staying Amber. This didn't occur on the previous BIOS 7D69v13. I attempted to clear CMOS but same issue. I ended up downgrading my BIOS back to 7D69v13. I opened a ticket with MSI, but just a heads up in case anyone else runs into this. Before 7D69v142 I had zero issues with RAM and bootup problems.

Are there any other known more updated drivers for this motherboard that are NOT on the main MSI driver page?
Thanks for the updated NIC.

One driver that is always behind is the AMD chipset driver -- download directly from AMD site
and the GPU drivers.

Lately MSI has updated the internal audio driver so it is up to date for now.

Bluetooth and WiFi is the next one behind -- station-drivers.net and look for Mediatek MT7922 / RZ616, e.g.:
 
BTW ! I have heard from others (not necessarily only MSI users), that are running boards with AGESA 1.3.0.1b, that in general it is better and Memory/SOC and CPU needs less juice to reach the same speeds/stability -- decrease in general of around 0.02-0.04 V on SOC, and 0.02 - 0.05V on Mem (depending heavily on the kit used) and CPUs seems to run a little bit cooler too.

Since disabling ErP (returning it back to default state) things have been decent. Not perfect but decent. I've seen the nvlddmkm errors but not while the computer has been up and running for a while. Still using it and will continue unless it gets bad. With ErP set to Enabled, that's when things ran worse.. could not get a stable boot. jfyi

An interesting article with a user that has been in contact with the MSI bios team about TSME..

Two related questions:

1) I uninstalled Adrenalin Edition some time ago. Do I need it?

2) Does anyone have advice on which is the current best display driver version for higher level Nvidia 4xxx graphics cards? I need to update.

Ad.1 -- Depends. If you have an AMD GPU then yes (including the IGPU). If you disabled the IGPU and have only dedicated NV GPU then no (I assume from Point 2 that this is the case).
Be careful though -- as the AMD chipset drivers also sometimes displays the Adrenalin logos etc. so don't mix them both up ;)

AD.1. IMHO - no.
AD.2. In BIOS under Integrated Graphics Configuration you have the option to disable it. Unfortunately I rarely reboot my PC so I cannot name you the exact option.
But - if you do it right - you should notice that in device manager under graphics AMD GPU won't show.
 
it seems that blocking PCIe to gen 4 via BIOS solves the problem, it isn't a real fix but a bad workaround for the problem.
ASPM and spread spectrum does not help here.
 
There is a BIOS in development with AGESA 1.3.0.1b Patch A -- currently rolling out on B8xx Platforms.
Honestly -- I don't think it will bring improvements on the stability side.
Currently it enables back TSME (Transparent Secure Memory Encryption) but no other "visible" improvements.
 
I'm in contact with nvidia, they suggested to fix the GEN4, with gen4 it seems to work.
is there someone else who "workarounded" the problem using gen4 instead of gen5?

it's not a solution to me, but I would like to understand if this works as a dirty workaround.
 
installed it, let's see even if I have no hope.
is TSME something good? what are the pros and cons apart the fact that it is "more secure" ?
