Hardware:
Processor: 7950X
Motherboard: MSI X670E Ace
GPU: EVGA 3080 TI FTW3
MEMORY: G.SKILL Trident Z5 Neo RGB Series AMD EXPO 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000 (PC5 48000)
PSU: EVGA 1000W P6
Cooler: 360 Phanteks AIO MPH

After updating my BIOS today on my PC. When booting up I was getting BIOS Code A6 and the RAM light was staying Amber. This didn't occur on the previous BIOS 7D69v13. I attempted to clear CMOS but same issue. I ended up downgrading my BIOS back to 7D69v13. I opened a ticket with MSI, but just a heads up in case anyone else runs into this. Before 7D69v142 I had zero issues with RAM and bootup problems.

I have not same memory, 2 dim x 32 at 5200 corsair dominator, super stable with 7D69v13
here with 7D69v142, bsod in windows 11, not stable back to 7D69v13, it have cause corruption in my windows install by chance windows 11 correct the problem
I just lost my time... I could not recommend this new bios

Ended up downgrading my BIOS again. I'll just wait . Just as a reference that's what I see with that BIOS. Everything seems like it should boot and be working. GPU is on and running but doesn't proceed unless I hardboot the machine. Then the second reboot allows it to continue, but I don't want to do that over time.

I do know they are working on it
And I am pretty confident they are not happy with the problems
And will do their best to get it sorted but they can only modify so much of the bios as quite a bit of the bios coding has to be done by AMD.

Not sure about the Memory setting if that is the BIOS side or the Chip side. I know XMP and EXPO settings are on the Ram Chip so maybe the Ram manufacturers need to roll out a Firmware update for XMP or EXPO Settings on existing memory modules if that is even possible.

For sure, I've used several MSI boards from the X370, Z370, Z490, and now the X670E. This is the first time I've experienced an issue with a BIOS update. I think myself and others might have a bit of buyer's remorse rushing in so early. I know they'll get it figured out though.

I have the same success with 4 sticks of f5-6000j3038f16gx2-fx5 gskill flare x5 16gb each. However if I enable PBO in anyform you get a black screen and orange memory debug light with the number 46 on the debugger. I have to reset cmos to get back into bios. With expo enabled only, it works fine.

That's probably an A6 since that's what I have. I didn't enable anything though regarding those settings. It's just automatic unless I need to make it disabled.

Yep, I have those same settings active. I have pbo on auto + expo and it works good. If you were to change PBO to anything but auto, it'll hang and you have to reset settings to get it working normal again.

So strange. Outside of a Fan curve and disabling the integrated graphics. But outside of that enabling AMD EXPO. Meant I'd have to hardboot after each cold boot to get it to work the second time.

Before I rolled it back, I just enable AMD Expo, no other settings adjusted.

AH I see different Bios Versions
You are on 1.0.0.3 and the test was on 1.0.0.4 Bios
Can you also drop in your CPU screenshot with Cpu-z.
May be worth another try with 1.0.0.4

I'm posting to add to the list of complaints here. BIOS 7D67v152 for MSI PRO X670-P WiFi broke my RAM's ability to use EXPO settings (BSOD memory management errors upon log in). The previous BIOS 7D67v14 also had bugs, but at least I could enable EXPO on my RAM without BSOD.
AMD Ryzen 7 7700X at stock PBO settings
MSI PRO X670-P WiFi
G.SKILL Trident Z5 Neo RGB Series 32GB DDR5 6000 F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5NR
The RAM kit lists the motherboard on the QVL.
I'm having trouble rolling back to the previous BIOS, so I guess I'm stuck with this buggy mess for now.

OK, can you provide information as requested in this post please and I will add it to the Report to be passed on to MSI Contact?
More Detailed information I get from more users the more detail MSI will have to work with.

Oh yeah, I did try 1.0.0.4 again when I tried spamming the F1 key, but no luck so I rolled back again to 1.0.0.3. Unless is there something else I can do to test? Since I have dual bios on this board, I can just flip the switch.
