Hardware:
Processor: 7950X
Motherboard: MSI X670E Ace
GPU: EVGA 3080 TI FTW3
MEMORY: G.SKILL Trident Z5 Neo RGB Series AMD EXPO 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000 (PC5 48000)
PSU: EVGA 1000W P6
Cooler: 360 Phanteks AIO MPH

After updating my BIOS today on my PC. When booting up I was getting BIOS Code A6 and the RAM light was staying Amber. This didn't occur on the previous BIOS 7D69v13. I attempted to clear CMOS but same issue. I ended up downgrading my BIOS back to 7D69v13. I opened a ticket with MSI, but just a heads up in case anyone else runs into this. Before 7D69v142 I had zero issues with RAM and bootup problems.

Oh yeah, I did try 1.0.0.4 again when I tried spamming the F1 key, but no luck so I rolled back again to 1.0.0.3. Unless is there something else I can do to test? Since I have dual bios on this board, I can just flip the switch.
Umm, are you using HDMI or Displayport some times just swapping from one to the other can make a difference
And are you holding in the Clear Cmos Button for over 15 seconds
Did not realise that board hads Dual Bios

Using DP. I flipped the switch on my PSU, left it off for about a minute and hit the power button to make sure all of the capacitors were drained. Then held the BIOS button for about 30 seconds. When it booted back up same thing A6 with the RAM Amber light. I held the power button down and it booted up like normal, but if I shut the PC down or restarted it. Same thing happened again RAM light and A6 code. Seems like it always fixed itself the second boot, but then I didn't want to have to do that all the time obviously when I turn the computer on.

I didn't even get that far. The M-Flash option doesn't ever work for some reason, so I have to use the Flash button via the I/O panel. Only this time the light stayed red and nothing happened.
Sounds like a corrupt or blocked Bios file on the Disk
The following Directions are for windows based OS

Right, Click on the Downloaded Bios Zip File, and select properties if you see the message this file is blocked by windows tick the box to unblock and click OK.
You can also enter M-Flash by holding down the F5 Key at power up

what is the BIOS button?
Oh I see yes BIOS flashback is next to Clear Cmos
Missed that thanks for pointing it out Plutomate:agrees::biggthumbsup:

I couldn't get the F5 Key to bring it up, but this time M-Flash loaded after selecting it in the BIOS. It was difficult to get it to select the file for some reason, but eventually it worked. So I'm back to the older BIOS now and my AMD EXPO settings are enabled again. I'll try to get an image of my RAM and a CPU-Z validation posted here tomorrow.

I'm going to try a different type of RAM and see if it functions any better. F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5NR - That isn't listed on the QVL list from MSI from is listed on the G.Skill website as being compatible. Anyone using this currently?

I am using that exact RAM kit with the MSI PRO X670-P WIFI. Initially my PC wouldn't boot with the EXPO settings enabled, but I contacted MSI and they sent me an unlisted BIOS that I managed to get it working with. There are a couple memory settings in the BIOS that I changed from the default "Auto" to "Enabled", as well as the
UCLK DIV1 Mode to UCLK = MEMCLK.

Interesting. I'll give it a go on me X670 Ace and see how it goes. There are a couple of games I play where I'm getting the NVIDIA display driver crash and have since migrating to AM5. So I'm wondering if the better latency will help since I've already swapped the Motherboard and GPU.

OK, can you provide information as requested in this post please and I will add it to the Report to be passed on to MSI Contact?
More Detailed information I get from more users the more detail MSI will have to work with.

CPU-Z Validation
PC Hardware:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X at stock PBO settings
Motherboard: MSI PRO X670-P WiFi
RAM: G.SKILL Trident Z5 Neo RGB Series 32GB DDR5 6000 F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5NR
CPU Cooler: ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 420 A-RGB
GPU: Gigabyte AORUS GeForce RTX 3080 MASTER 10G
PSU: CORSAIR Professional Series Gold AX750 (to be replaced at the end of the month)
Monitor: MSI Optix MPG321UR-QD Xbox Edition
As noted in my first post, BIOS 7D67v152 throws BSOD memory management errors when I attempt to use AMD EXPO RAM settings. The CPU-Z validation was taken on the 7D67v14 BIOS with working EXPO settings.

So MSI ended up closing my ticket. Does it indicate anywhere that this BIOS is in BETA? I didn't see that anywhere on the posting lol.

They will most likely send you an email when they get informed of New bios for public releases

That's really strange though. Shouldn't they be marking these BIOS as BETA? I'd think it'd be a simple one liner would do it.
Not sure guess the BIOS team would have to let them know if there is a Bios available to try or not.
Teck support may have asked and got informed no nothing ready yet.

I know personally I would have never even attempted to download it if I knew it was BETA. Especially with zero information regarding 1.0.0.4 being out there. Guess Iโ€™ll just hold steady on the previous version for now.
