Processor: 7950X
Motherboard: MSI X670E Ace
GPU: EVGA 3080 TI FTW3
MEMORY: G.SKILL Trident Z5 Neo RGB Series AMD EXPO 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000 (PC5 48000)
PSU: EVGA 1000W P6
Cooler: 360 Phanteks AIO MPH

After updating my BIOS today on my PC. When booting up I was getting BIOS Code A6 and the RAM light was staying Amber. This didn't occur on the previous BIOS 7D69v13. I attempted to clear CMOS but same issue. I ended up downgrading my BIOS back to 7D69v13. I opened a ticket with MSI, but just a heads up in case anyone else runs into this. Before 7D69v142 I had zero issues with RAM and bootup problems.

Are they running Memory context restore disabled?

I started having a little better luck with it enabled but not 100% stable

talking about this release - 7D69v1O8

EDIT: I could disable EXPO and upload the bios restore file for them to see how my bios is configured

Also using MCR (but memory set to EXPO and then adjusted manually so in practice the EXPO function is disabled).

Are there any thoughts on which is more stable at PCIE 5.0? The beta 1O7 or the main 108?

I tried 105/106, and both were hit-and-miss. On boot, it was capped at 3.0/4.0, or might work on 5.0. Bios 108 is also hit-and-miss. It might be locked to 5.0 or capped at 3.0, or even work as it should, idle at 1.0-2.0 then jump to 5.0 as needed. It can differ from boot to boot.

I did think it was the Linkup PCIE 5.0 Riser, but the sheer number of people complaining of incorrect PCIE speeds using a Gen 5 card seems to point more to the BIOS.

Apparently the AGESA 1.3.0.0 is still beta. Sometimes I have to boot several times before it stabilizes other times it's stable the first boot, but then again I have some integrated devices disabled like Blue Tooth And Wi-Fi and that might cause more strain thus ending up totally unstable. I'm using 7D69v1O8

Yeah, it's just so hit-and-miss. It's a pain to remember to check it on boot, if it's ok, yay, if not, reboot.

The only way I know how to check if it's working properly is to run GPU-z and observe the PCIe behavior while it starts and the GPU render test. Doubt it's 100% but it's a good indication whether it booted properly or not.
