Should I be running the latest BIOS rather than 1.20 since I hear there is chance of overvolting the CPU with BIOS 1.20. I'm not overclocking the CPU though. I just ordered
F5-6000J3238F16GX2-TZ5NR (hynix M) memory it will be here tomorrow.
Yes, v174 is good.
There are also couple of life-quality improvements, besides the SOC voltage regulation.
1. Working sleep/wake function.
2. Working Memory Context Restore function to speed up boot time. (if you have Hynix memory).
3. Memory Timing Enhance Mode, to tighten memory sub-timings automatically. (if you have Hynix memory)
4. Overclock Profile can save/restore your PBO, Curve Optimizer settings, which is broken before v172.

Edit: There is known bug regarding 3rd pci-e not working with the recent bios. If you use 3rd pci-e slot, just wait for the next version.

Good to hear. Thanks for the info.

Alan J T supplied Build 7D70v175Beta PCI_E 3 slot is working with Network Adapter RTL8125B, Also I was getting Ab during boot that seems to have went away with G.Skill F5-6000J3636F16GX2-TZ5NR (Samsung) memory slots A2 and B2

Last time, I tried Samsung sticks with bios v174. It did not work properly. I would validate that with caution. After enabling EXPO, do some memory stress tests or gaming, and then try to reboot.

Build 7D70v175Beta I have run Windows Memory Diagnostics , MemTest64 ran for 10 min, Multiple GPU testing programs ..... Userbenchmark, Superposition all pass with 0 errors, No Ab errors upon restart at anytime.

BIOS 7D70v175Beta After running for 4 hours I had a "46 - OEM post memory initialization codes" error on a reboot, installing the F5-6000J3238F16GX2-TZ5NR (Sk Hynix) memory and will test

Update 6/4/23 All memory testing and gaming passed. I did have 2 incidents this may be related to the 7D70v175Beta
at a restart ..... Froze at Code 02 - AP initialization before microcode loading
upon a hard restart ..... Froze at Code 06 - Microcode loading
After another hard restart I have not had any issues since.

as far as i can say from my board:

if i plug in an USB Flash Drive to the Board and restart the PC i get always this problem A6.
Also i have this problem as i used a non FAT Device for the Transfer of the Bios Flash file.
Also a USB Drive with an old Boot manager for a memtest get the Problem on the table.

The latest beta bios seems to fix Ab code for me.
Have a try.
Hello there !
I am having the same issue but with some minor differences, slots A1 and B1 give me error code C5 which indicates bad cpu socket or whatever(which i did not try to remount or check the pins yet) and slots A2 and B2 work just fine. I have this kit:
F5-6000J3238F16GX2-TZ5NR

Now the real problem is with one of the dimms it works just fine, the other either gets stuck at code 46 with no bios tweaks or passes after 2 seconds code 46 and gets stuck at code Ab when i enable memory power down and disable mem context restore. I tried with the default bios of the motherboard(msi x670e carbon), with v18 and with the current 1B1 version which is the latest beta. I can't seem to get around it. Tried kind of anything from all the threads and whatnot. I know for a fact that the board/ram/cpu are not bad cuz when i first booted it up it worked just fine, no errors no nothing, after about 2-3 hours or so the pc randomly black screened(mentioning i was doing absolutely nothing intensive, just watching some you tube) pc tried to restart and it got stuck at code 46.
Since then i have had 0 luck in trying to fix these issues, except the fact that i moved from code 46 to code Ab with the mentioned changes that i made. Also i should mention the system is perfectly stable on 1 ram, stick(16gb sadly), idle temps at around 40-45, some games when starting up it kind of jumps to the 75 and short burst to 80 degrees and stabilises at around 65-72 depending how intensive the task at hand is. No crashes no problem with restarts, no instability, no stuttering no nothing. Except the other dimm.
Also, i tried with both dimms in A2B2 and it still passes 46 into Ab. I can not seem to understand what caused it to either brick the ram dimm or something. Also the bad one on all 4 slots either stops at 46 with no tweaks C5 in A1 or B1 if it passes 46 sometimes or straight Ab.
I can not get my head around this problem and i am at a loss for words. Mobo seems fine, runs cool and all, nothing smells like burnt bacon and i'll check the pins from the slots tonight to see if it fixes anything.
Also i ordered a new non rgb kit, amd expo enabled corsair vengeance 32gb dual rank, cl30 at 6000MTs. If they work that means it was a faulty dimm. but it's unlikely

Sounds like the RAM died or the Memory Control on CPU but dose sound like bad RAM just because it worked at first boot does not mean it will keep on working most hardware if it is going to die will do so at first power up or within the first week

After some more research i came to the conclusion that the ram stick died. The mem controller on cpu is out of the question since it will boot with the other ram an run without an issue at all.
