X670E Tomahawk - Fan Header 6 Stuck at Full Speed & M.2.1 Won’t Detect SK Hynix NVMe

I just bought this x670e tomahawk a couple of days ago from a microcenter bundle and two things are happening. The bios is updated to most recent - 7E12v1H.

1. System-fan 6 Header is not controllable in the bios or any other program: it just runs at full speed. I have tried all setting combos in the bios and multiple fans that are rated for control (pwm). but nothing works. I have also tried the app "Fan control" to try and control it and it doesn't work either it just runs at full speed no matter what percent its in. what could it be?

2. M2.1 slot is not working for me too just like other people. my nmve is "SK hynix Gold P31 1TB". At least it should work since this is not a wd nvme, like other peoples are having problems with.

should I just return and maybe get a different mb or get a replacement?

Scythe fuma 2 cooler fans

Bios is 7E12v1H - I did not use beta version to avoid any problems.
Fans are - Arctic P12 Slim PWM PST - worked on all other fan headers and even on other MBs.
Scythe fuma 2 cooler fans that I had laying around they do work because I was using them and they worked on other mbs and headers.

Do you check PWM and "Smart Fan Mode" then drag the dots to corresponding temperature and fan RPM in BIOS Hardware Monitor?

Yes I did check smart fan mode and pwm. I stated in my op that I tried all combos in the BIOS.
