I just got a new MSI X670E tomahawk wifi motherboard.
CPU ryzen 7 7800x3d
Ram 16gb X2 5600 Corsair vengeance
GPU 3060ti from zotac

I am trying to get my Elgato hd60 pro capture card to run in the new rig. I know it works because it runs when in the slot the GPU would go in.

The motherboard has 3 more additional pcie slots
Pcie 2 and 4 run on the chipset
And pcie 3 works from the CPU alongside pcie 1.

The Elgato isn't being detected in any of them.

I would appreciate some assistance.

This looks similar,

Will Pm you a BIOS that should Fix the problem

test BIOS usually means the BIOS has some function that does not include in normal BIOS and the function is not undergone full test. I guess you can just flash with M-Flash and in case you don't like it, you can return back to normal BIOS with M-Flash again.

I see. Could you also tell me why wouldn't the functionality of the pcie slots be included in the standard MSI bios? Seems like a pretty ridiculous thing to leave out.
The issue has only shown up with some Capture cards on the X670E Tomahawk
And you are only the second one with this problem
Bios was Configured to work with a Capture card but it seems it did not work fo you, please provide the info I asked for, and I will pass that on to our Contact to see if it is specific to that model and if they can get one to test.

I took the shroud off the Elgato. Maybe this is more what you needed?

Bios located on the Motherboard support page
You are best to set SOV to 1.3v to avoid CPU or possible board damage.

I don't know how to set or change an SOV.
Is it important that it be changed?
Yep is easy enough is under OC section will do A screen shot for you
there are two Modes Override or AMD OC Mode AMD one is a bit more user-friendly so I would recommend you use that one

Leave the CPU Voltage on AUTO I have mine set due to a all core overclock

HI @spamcratdocto15a802e4
did you fix your issue?
i have a very similar problem with my MEG X670E ACE and the capture card elgato 4k60 pro mk2

Not as of yet. I thought replacing my hd60 pro with a 4k60 pro mk.2 would solve the issue but my eBay order got cancelled. Had to bid on another one.
Haven't gotten it yet.
If you are having the same issue with the 4k60 pro mk.2 then my hopes have dropped.
But I intend to update the form when I have tried.
