Is this still being worked on, or do you have any updates to share regarding this issue?MSI ppl can see now this behaviour for S23U phone. They are checking further.

Hey is the issue fixed? I'm using the same board. Try charging my iphone 14 and also got the same problem (disconnect/reconnect). I'm using super charger+ with nzxt h7 flow usb c front panel. Also running on the latest bios and msi center version is 2.0.48I use a Samsung S23U phone and the type-C connector on the front panel keeps disconnecting and reconnecting.
MSI super charger+ Which devices are supported?
I tried two Samsung phones and a Black Shark phone and both had similar issues.![]()
I just installed MSI Center and the Super Charger app for grins. There is no PD firmware update available.Update BIOS to latest version as follows:
For X870E GODLIKE: E7E48AMSI.1A24
For X870E CARBON WIFI: E7E49AMSI.1A23
For X870 TOMAHAWK WIFI: E7E51AMSI.1A24
Then go to MSI Center > Live Update > Advanced > scan for PD firmware update 0104.
After those updates,
the front Type-C device should not disconnect when charging power exceeds 25W

Does the extra power connection via PCIE_PWR1 have anything to do with USB-C charging?
The manual isn't very descriptive as to what exactly this extra power connection is for.

Hi, I am on the latest version for x870E Carbon Wifi. I
Yep, 7E49v1A23 here and still seeing the issue. I opened a ticket with MSI support around the same time I replied to you, and interestingly enough their reply was:Do you use the mentioned BIOS ver. 1st?
latest etc...? It need to be the version I posted earlier [E7E49AMSI.1A23]
If someone else hasn't already tried this by the end of the week I'll open my case up and do it myself.Sorry to hear you're having issues with the board. If you don't have the PCIe supplemental power connected to the PSU, I suggest you try that. If that doesn't resolve the issue, make sure you update to the latest BIOS version available online here:

Careful with that A23 BIOS. Can cause boot loops when booting with things plugged into USB - unplugging them allows booting, and then you can plug them in. Hopefully MSI will release the fix soon...Yep, 7E49v1A23 here and still seeing the issue. If you disable "Legacy USB Support" it resolves that issue.Careful with that A23 BIOS. Can cause boot loops when booting with things plugged into USB - unplugging them allows booting, and then you can plug them in. Hopefully MSI will release the fix soon...
Hm, hadn't heard it related to that but I'll give it a shot next time I reboot. I haven't disabled that since the upgrade. If you disable "Legacy USB Support" it resolves that issue.
I ran into the same issue after upgrading my BIOS and couldn't figure out what had broken. Turned out to be the USB hub on my monitor. Ran across a discussion about the same thing on reddit and disabling that setting in the new BIOS fixed the problem for me. Hopefully it does the same for you.Hm, hadn't heard it related to that but I'll give it a shot next time I reboot. I haven't disabled that since the upgrade.
Thanks, will definitely report back if that does the trick! One of my hubs on my desktop is what seems to bother the boot process for me so I just unplug that and it's booted after a time or two.... so far. Been a bit nervous to reboot otherwise in case it doesn't continue that time...I ran into the same issue after upgrading my BIOS and couldn't figure out what had broken.
