Hello i need help, i have a x870e edge with me, with a rtx 3080 working for a month, then one day suddenly it cant boot or no display,
it keeps getting stuck with an error 44 on its led on the motherboard. I tried to swap a gpu, with a gtx 730 and its fine, like perfectsly boot.
The thing is, my rtx 3080 that cant boot on my am5 edge board works perfectly on my other pc, how do i tackle this problem?

When it stuck at debug code 44, does the number still changes or stays there forever. Just wanna know whether it's displaying CPU temperature or error code. debug code 44 does not really mean anything and if it's CPU temperature, you might wanna switch to different port or double check whether monitor is scanning the correct input source.
Or you can simply press numlock and see if indicator goes on and off when it stuck.

i was testing Capslock, and no the keyboard doesnt respond, felt like it hanged or something, restart button works

additional info, in like 50 attempts to boot, 1 is successful, when it successfully boots, i can use it with no problem at all, until i restart or shutdown it and try to boot again it will be stuck to error 44

I checked PSU Tier List rev. 17.0g and found the following comment for Seasonic Focus and other Prime based types:
[8] Seasonic PRIME based units experience shutdowns with RTX3080/3090 (and possibly RX6900 XT) GPUs. The cause is not the OCP tripping but a PSU design flaw as evident by the PSU not latching off on shutdown and 1000W+ models being affected too. Doesn’t manifest in 100% cases as it’s also dependent on motherboard model and GPU OC. Seasonic provides a replacement 24-pin ATX cable to fix this via support. Appears to be fixed post 2021 although there’s no official confirmation from Seasonic.

Try the PSU from the other PC in this one to see whether this fixes your problem.

i tried my Seasonic 80 plus gold Focus GX-1000 on my Intel pc with the rtx 3080, played an hour on Resident Evil Requiem and test it 30mins in FurMark, there seems to be no problem, does it suffice to rule out PSU problem?

i can but but, in like 50 attempts to boot, theres like 1 only is success, what should i look up in bios?
I was just wondering if you were able to boot into BIOS.

In this case it is not sufficient to rule out the PSU because it also depends on the motherboard:
Doesn’t manifest in 100% cases as it’s also dependent on motherboard model and GPU OC

Hence why I am asking to test with another PSU; we have to make test whether or not it is the combination of PSU and motherboard.
