X99 SLI Plus USB 3.0 not working with 2.0 flash drives

Hi guys, I've been looking through google and forums for the answer to this bizarre question. My motherboard's USB 3.0 port are all working. However, some of the ports (the ones I needed an actual driver to get working, which would be the 4 out of 6 on the back of the mobo) are not working with my usb 2.0 flashdrive.

This is odd because other usb 2.0 devices work on these ports....its just the flash drive....Any ideas?

do they works with others usb flash drivers then? 3.0?
or they don't works generally?

Never mind, looks like following the instructions from other posts fixed it, even though it was still half-working. Thanks!
