Hi all. I recently purchased an AMD 5700 XT VGA to swap out my old R9 295X2.
Since installing the card I have had many problems, such as windows crashes, BSOD and black screens with games like Age of Mithology and Battlefield 4.
Thinking that the problem was the VGA, I changed it, installed it and back to the same problems mentioned above. (Yes, I went back to my 295x2 and no problem).
In an inspirational moment, I thought about changing the slot card (I had it in PCIe x16 slot number 1) and I changed it to the second slot, since that change the system is more stable, however BSOD and crashes continue to appear in Windows.

With the help of a friend, I tried the card on another platform and it works perfectly, so I rule out a problem with the VGA.

Any feedback within the community?

Hi
What exactly 5700xt is it? I hope not Gigabyte...
If your system works fine with 295X2, then I would say there is some compatibility issue. And I was about to suggest PSU problems, but if it handles 295X2 then there is no way the PSU would be faulty..

Hi!

Its an Asus Strix 5700 XT OC.
I think the same, which may be a motherboard compatibility problem, but I don't know what kind of incompatibility.
Exactly, because the 295x2 works, I immediately rule out problems with the PSU.

What bios version do you have?
Hi!

I did update to last one available on website: H.H2
Since a buy this motherboard, never update BIOS, only this time thinking it is an incompatibility problem

I would suggest you check with ASUS for vBIOS update.
Also in BIOS, try changing PCI settings from Auto to something else, see if it makes a difference: settings/advanced/PCI subsystem - max link speed.
Other than that... I've no idea as that stuff don't tend to happen.

Hi Nichrome,

I try to update vBIOS and i did have a error in both vBIOS. My VGA are dead and download any vBIOS from TechPowerUp and VGA is OK, so the problem alwais was VGA.

Thanks all!!
