X99S Gaming 9 AC sound question

I got a new headset and discovered that the sound on the mic seems to increase after I adjust it down.
And since I'm trying to keep the volum down, so background noices are less of a problem, so is that quite a dilema.

Sennheiser G4ME ONE, is the headset in question, but it should not be the headset, since it dont got any software with it.
 
What is your OS ?

You are using Realtek High Definition Audio Driver 6.0.1.7293?
Maybe you can try to reinstall it again.

How you adjust the volume, use Sound Blaster Cinema 2 (1.00.07) ?

Will this happened with other mic?
And this problem also occur to both front and back panel?

I think it might be a problem, since it might have firmware or driver build inside...

Maybe, since the noice canceling works without a program, but I fail to see the reason for it to adjust the volum by itself.

Win 8.1 64bit
Realtek High Definition Audio Driver 6.0.1.7293
I adjust the volum straight in the settings.
Both front and back panel.
Havent noticed it with my other mic.
 
Did you try the headset with other PC or notebook?

If this problem didn't happened with other mic.
Maybe that's a compatibility problem of Sennheiser G4ME ONE.
You can also try contact Sennheiser for advice and solution.
 
Got a reply from Sennheiser, its nothing with the headset that should do make it happen.
But they said that some soundcards/motherbords got Automatic Gain Control (AGC), which could be the problem.
But it could also be a voltage problem: "Our microphone capsule is at -41dBm sensitivity and driven by the bias voltage that you provide from your/our own soundcard (1-2VDC)"

So the question is where do I find that it?
 
Try close the "Dialog Plus" in SBC2.
it's similar to Automatic Gain Control (AGC).
