So as I wait for my RMA to come back to me I was wondering if my Raid0 would work right after I install new board? I'm hoping that as long as the drives are connected to the same controller that they were originally configured with that they will work as before but I'm not well versed on how Raid operates at the hardware level. If my assumption is correct would they work on any board with an Intel ICH10R?

Whatever the final outcome is, once you have the board back, make sure you enter BIOS Setup, set the controller you were using before to RAID (have the hard drives connected to the same ports) and then access the RAID Configuration utility to check if it still recognized your array.  Only then should you allow the system to boot the operating system.

In most cases there is no problem during that kind of migration.

Thank you Jack. What about connecting to another board with an ICH10R controller? I was thinking about just picking up one from our local PC shop as a temp board so I can access all my work files but if there is no chance then I'll scrub the idea.

I have no idea.   :nooo:  Test and see is all I can say.  I have no first-hand experience in regarding that particular scenario and I don't know anybody that did a board/chipset "downgrade" while keeping his RAID-0 in-tact.
