Z16 Keyboard sticking?

I just received my unit back from RMA - they replaced the whole keyboard. First thing I type and the issue happens again!

Can be any key for me but happens a lot with the space bar and always in the same manner - fast typing and then when I take a break (last letter in a word or whatever), the key sticks and doubles 10-20 times. If I press anything else in the next few seconds, that sticks too (say the backspace button to get rid of the repeated characters, that will stick for an unknown amount of time deleting more than needed). It doesn't go back to normal unless you leave it for 5 or so seconds then start typing again.

Can't even submit another RMA because it says "duplicate RMA in cart" or something like that so I replied to the RMA email.

I'm pretty ticked as it obviously wasn't thoroughly tested prior to being shipped back, and I paid for shipping (which didn't seem right in the first place for a factory defect). There is no way I'm paying to have it shipped back after a failed repair like this.

Same issue here with Z16P keyboard. From time to time, when I type more than small amount of text, on some key press it just stops for a second and then types the same symbol again many times. My current suspect is SteelSeries keyboard drivers. I've tried to switch from "Reactive keys" mode to "Plain", let's see how it goes.

Sending back my unit for the 2nd RMA now after the keyboard was replaced and still happening.

FYI, the service call center said that this isn't a documented issue on the Z16. So it may be helpful if everyone who is having this issue takes the time to post here, or call the service center, or generates an RMA.

Folks, hopefully what I did will be the solution.
I uninstalled Steelseries, and I have yet to encounter any repeating keys for 3 days so far. Will keep you updated in a week or two.

My hypothesis: When you go to settings >>> Bluetooth & other devices, you will see Steelseries keyboard being shown as an external connected device.
So I went ahead to uninstall SteelSeries to see if that would resolve the repeating key issue that we are having.

Interesting, hope that works! I ended up returning my 2nd after RMAing the first. Was supposed to be my work laptop and typing accurately is kind of important couldn't deal with it anymore.

I got mine from Newegg, so 30 days, I RMA'd 1st unit due to keyboard and another issue. Timer for returns resets with RMA. I tried 2nd one for 27ish days (really wanted it to work, it's a great laptop) and did a return.

The situation might be more software related.
Removing SteelSeries GG would be the first thing I try, cause SS GG is having also the automatic update that will force an update and not able to roll back old version.

Update: it has been a weekish since I uninstalled Steel series, and the issue is not there anymore. YAY!
Hopefully the system doesn't force install Steel Series as an update to my computer.

So you have no ability to control keyboard functions like lighting, etc? Thanks for the update!

After my 2nd RMA they attempted to replace a bunch of components including main board with no success so I was issued a new laptop.

So far no issues but I've only used it for a few days. I updated everything including windows 11 install and whatever recommended win update stuff. Steelseries is installed from the factory and it seems to not be causing issues? Will update if anything happens!

Update to above - issue has recurred on the new laptop. No idea what is going on. Haven't tried uninstalling yet but I'm pretty upset and really just need a refund at this poinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt. (left those tfor effect)))))))))))))))))
