Hi there,
My z170a pc mate non boot with RAM hynix Single Side 16GB with newer bios than version A70, model is SK hynix HMAA2GU6CJR8N-XN (16GB 3200 no xmp). RAM works perfectly on asus h110m-r and asus b250m-c, is there any solution or bios mod, to work with latest bios?

What bios version you using
>>Posting Guide<<

No other bios are listed so you're on the latest

Have you tried a Clear Cmos
>>Clear CMOS Guide<<
not true! where did you get that information from?
look here latest is AMI BIOS 7971vAG from 2018-06-26
with other ram stick works with last version 7971vAG (AG0)
I always clear cmos,
otherwise cmos itself is cleared after the update

That's bad wording on my part you would have tried the latest version and there is nothing newer listed than 7971-AG0

And that Board is most likely EOL so getting a new bios is very unlikely
Even getting hold of the RAM you have may be difficult for testing
And that is provided they have a Board in Storage.

List your full build all of it and a Picture of the RAM sticker
I will pass on to see if possible but it is likely to be not due to the age of the Motherboard

I took another RAM double-sided 3200 16Gb 2133 and definitely the 3200AA won't boot, only the RAM works at 2133in combination with 2133+3200
Z170a pc mate + G4400 and i5-7500 same behavior

Full build!? Everithing is disconected, only
PSU ThermalTake GF1 850w, and/or
PSU FSP HV pro 550w,
(G4400 and/or i5-7500)
RAM SK hynix HMAA2GU6CJR8N-XN 16GB 3200 SingleSided (jedec: 3200AA),
Silicon power SP016GBLFU320X02 16GB 3200 DoubleSided (jedec: 3200AA)
Kingston KVR21N15D8/16 16GB 2133 DoubleSided (jedec: 2133 downbin).
At older bios 7971-A70 every single stick boots and work normaly at 3200.
From bios 7971-A90 to 7971-AG0, only Kingston 2133 boots!
All Sticks work only in combination with Kingston on 2133...
Probably some module in the bios is responsible for RAM, which could be copied from the old bios with UEFItool or MMtool, but I don't know which module
If you need pictures of stickers from RAM, I can take pictures...

There's nothing that anyone here is going to be able to do to help. Honestly, it sounds like some kind of BIOS problem and you'd need to talk to MSI to see if they can help and/or fix it.
See : >>How to contact MSI.<<

Yes please as they tend to contain extra info on the stickers.
they answered me.:
"Regarding to your Z170A PC MATE motherboard question, the model is discontinued.
It seems to you mix three different brands of DDR4 memory, we do not suggest this. Please refer to our compatility list and install the same brand/type of DDR4 memory to test, there is only
Kingston KVR21N15D8/16 16GB 2133 DDR4 memory you have and in our compatibility list."

I had to explain further that I don't use all three, but I want one of the 3200, and that it works with the old bios, but the answers are similar, there is no help
