Hi
I have a Z270 Gaming Pro Carbon. Installed with latest version of Windows 10. When going to webpage
https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/Z270-GAMING-PRO-CARBON/support and utilities. Then downloading like Command Center and Live update.
When trying to install, same question pops up. This motherboard is not supported for installation.
Bios is flashed with the latest version. All windows updates are installed.
Any idea what could be wrong??

MSI Center doesnt detect any mystic light settings.
Just hardware diagnosis which is not much useful unfortuantely... :(
Trying to install mysticl light version 3. will give the same answer when trying to start the app.
Product is not recognized????

Where is the marker for MSI programs to recon the motherboard...??
Any ideas?

Honestly, if you have hardware on the PC other than MSI (say an Asus VGA, etc....), these older programs sometimes had issues detecting what MSI hardware was on the machine.
If you want to control the lights, you need to use the stand alone MSI Mystic Light application (linked above).
If you want to enable gaming settings, etc.... Then you need to use the MSI Gaming App (found at the download link for the motherboard, under utilities).

This motherboard does not support MSI Center or MSI Dragon Center, as it is too old and unsupported.

Really strange. Never been into this kind of problem. Enclose report from MSI reporting tool

Is there a reason you're using a spoofer to change the baseboard ID information?

Probably isn't going to work if you're going to continue doing that......

I'm not sure why your manufacturer, product, serial number, and version are all something else, they should be MSI specific to the motherboard.
This is most likely why the software isn't recognizing it, and why it won't work. Gotta fix that before it'll work.

I just had a look at that elysium spoofer (used by banned cheaters).
There is no way to put that info back as it's not backed up anywhere.
Good luck

Did you purchase the board from someone online?
your best shot is to contact original seller for clarification.

Well you would have to uninstall it I guess no wonder nothing worked and I felt like :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall:
should be in add remove programs I guess. Or see if it can be disabled in start up options

I bought it thru Facebook marketplace.
No response from seller. Only motherboard, cpu and memory comes from seller. Harddrive is mine.

I think the only chance is to use DMI Edit or similiar programs.

Or does anyone have a better idea?

It's all stored in the motherboard. So that all explains it I think hence you got it from someone on facebook. Maybe you can engage local police to help you since the board is not fully functional as (probably) advertised.
But as I said, all the info needed is pretty much lost.
See if MSI can help you in any way, maybe they can write a custom BIOS or FW that will contain and bring back all relevant info. >>How to contact MSI.<<
