Z370 Gaming Pro Carbon Bios A.70 Question.

Hi, bios A.70 CPU Vcore get 0.1 V more than bios A.60 in full cpu usage, is this due to new micro code ?
Before i was to 1.23 max now i have 1.32 (high for just 4600 mhz) on CPU Vcore.
No other change in my pc, only bios upgrade.
All settings are on default, but 46x multiplier and turbo boost disabled in A.60 and A.70
Sorry for my average english.

CPU : Intel 8700K 46x

Hi,

MSI increased the "CPU Lite Load" level. You will need to change it manually to a "Mode" that will equal the Vcore of the A.60 BIOS. CPU Lite Load Mode 1 is the lowest level and only adds +0.008V to the Vcore.

Later i applied your green 47x settings, it's even better, lower in idle and lightly higher in full for a better overclock. TDP stays around 95W, and temps are egual to my olds settings.
Great.

I've noticed that there is a beta bios coming out was wondering what does it fix?

I found a few bugs with the A.70 BIOS and informed MSI about it. Bug No.1: Selected CPU Lite Load Mode setting reverts back to Auto when loading a saved overclock profile, MSI fixed it with the A.81 BETA BIOS. Bug No.2: The memory capacity is showing 31.9GB in Task manager while it should be 32GB. All different memory capacity combinations are affected. MSI says it is normal. Not fixed with the A.81 BETA BIOS. But I suspect it will be fixed with a later BIOS version.

If you want the BETA BIOS you need to contact MSI, there may be other BETA BIOS versions available that I'm not aware of. I'm using the A.81 BETA BIOS without any other issues.
