So I was trying to access the bios, but couldn't. Normally just hit the del key a few times on boot and we're in but I couldn't do it ,nor could I use f2 to get to boot menu.
So I noticed dragon center had a bios update. So I did that, it completed, on restart though I have no video from Mobo or GPU. Ez debug led is lit up for CPU.
Specs
Z490 Gaming pro plus
Intel i5-10400
2x 8gb Corsair vengeance @3200mhz
Evga GTX 1660
Evga 650w gq psu
Crucial mx500 1tb SSD
I pretty much took the entire thing apart and tried booting with only CPU, 1 ram in slot a2, HDMI cable from Mobo. Still get cpu debug light, no video.
Tried to reset CMOS as well ....
Took the CPU out and re seated it, just to be sure. No problems there.
Any help is greatly appreciated guys.

For several Z490 boards, MSI still offers a potentially dangerous BIOS update that can lead to this problem.
See here for example: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?...i-release-monday-may-brick-your-board.363009/

If you search some more, you can easily find several more victims posting their own threads:
etc.

You can only recover from this at home if you have a board with a Flash BIOS Button (only MEG Z490 Unify or MEG Z490 ACE):

With Z590, MSI has added the Flash BIOS Button for every board model, since they realized how important it is. When you have a Z490 board without that option, often times the only solution is to RMA it, unless you have a special BIOS flasher device and know how to use it. I am not aware of any special force-flashing method without the Flash BIOS Button.

Ugh. So disappointing. Thanks for the help.

I know, MSI have really dropped the ball here. I hope with a lot of RMAs coming in, they realize their mistake and at least pull the last Z490 BIOS updates, there must be something wrong with those.

Hi, I got this error just now.

I removed the video card and the buffer battery. the pc has restarted and is now working fine.

the bios version 7C75vA8 works badly.

Lucky you. Just tried on mine and no luck with it. I only left one ram and also resit the CPU to make sure all good. My mobo is dead completely
