Z590-A Pro Ethernet Issues

Hello all,

First and foremost, i have searched on the internet and could find people with the issue but no actual fix.

I upgraded my board and some other components and while in game i found out my ping randomly spikes to about 200+. I start looking into this Proset adapter and i fail the cable test. The network test succeeds except for the interrupt status. I have tried downgrading and reinstalling the drivers. I thought it was perhaps because i upgraded mobo, and cpu and didn't reinstall windows and perhaps had driver issues but it didn't. Completely stuck on what is the issue. I thought i could have somehow messed up my board but plenty of people have this issue too so it is definitely can't be due to user error. I read an article about downloading older versions of intel drivers and 26.2 causes this issue but i can't find any resources that have older installations. Does anyone have any ideas? This is my first post. Please let me know what information is required and i will surely provide it. Also, i went and did a ping test and i saw my jitter goes anywhere from 10-80.. i asked my friend and his was at like .8

Possible fix: Make sure your using a CAT 6 cable. Than change driver properties to 1 GBps Full Duplex instead of Auto Negotiate.

Unfortunately I don't have any ideas how to fix your situation. I was having issues with my ethernet just disappearing during large downloads and I found a driver somewhere on Intel's site that seems to have fixed that. I can't remember what version it was, and I do recall trying several that failed to install first. What I finally ended up with shows as v1.0.1.14 with a date of 2/17/2021, and as I said, I haven't had any issues since installing it. I can't swear it's what fixed my issue because I could never figure out what was causing it in the first place, but I haven't had any ethernet problems since, so...maybe it will work for you if you can find it. Good luck!

Sorry for the late response. I was expecting to receive an email notification. I have set the setting you have listed and it appears in my adapter settings when i go through control panel. I have actually switched to cat 6 to see if that would help but i'm still having the same issue. Thank you for responding

Sadly still no luck. I clicked roll back driver and it put me on this version that you had a screenshot of. What app should i be uninstalling before i do a fresh install?

I found something interesting, the latest intel 26.8 is showing the same version as MSI's but the date on 26.8 are a lot newer.

I wouldn't worry about the cable test. As its very weird. The intel program always failed even on my pc. Though saw no negative impacts of internet performance. As long as your device is working base on device manager on windows. That what really matters.
