z590 Godlike - no video output - solved

Hi everyone,

I just got my new motherboard z590 Godlike paired with an i7 11700k.
The problem I have is that I'm getting no video signal on my monitor, I'm using the included Display Port to Thunderbolt cable (the one that's like 20 cm long...) to connect my monitor to the motherboard. My Graphics card didn't arrive yet so was planning on installing windows and all my games etc in the meantime making use of my processors integrated graphics chip.
I haven't been able to test the motherboard with a dedicated Graphics card yet because I don't have any.
The code on the display is "98" and a few moments after turning my PC on, the animation of a mini game starts playing on the motherboard's screen...
Is the anything that I may be missing?

I do not have that board, but my understanding is that it does not support output of processor graphics such as the UHD Graphics 750 of your K processor. The cable you describe is not for what you are trying, but rather for taking the *output* of a dedicated graphics card and passing it through to be output on the motherboard's Thunderbolt.
So you have to wait for your dedicated graphics card.

you need A dedicated GPU as that board is not expecting you to be even considering using onboard Graphics at all (its a top of the line motherboard) so they Wire nothing to the IGPU to use as a output (they expect you will only use the IGPU as a Render Engine/Decoder Chip for media only not display output)

that is correct it cant use the IGPU as its a godlike board (they expect you will be using a Dedicated GPU)

the Mini Dispalayports on the back are Inputs to pass a Signal from a Dedicated GPU into the Thunderbolt Ports next to them and the Thunderbolt ports have no video connection without it.

Looks like I will have to wait for my Graphics card.
