Hi,

I've made a mistake and updated my BIOS to V25.8

I have an old gaming system that I want to repurpose for my son who unfortunately loves Fortnite Battle Royale, he would rather play on PC than PS4 Pro. In my haste to try to set the pc up for him & overclock it, I updated the BIOS to the latest V25.8, I didn't realise the my CPU was not supported by this BIOS version & would like to roll back to V23.7, the system is:

MSI Z68A-GD55 (G3)
i5 2500K
16GB Kingston HyperX 1600 KHX1600C9D3K2
2 x AMD Radeon HD6950

I have downloaded the MSIHQ USB bootable tool version 1.28j but for some reason I cant get it to reflash the bios.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,

The version is E7681IMS V25.8

I've taken a some screen shots of the bios and uploaded them to Dropbox LINK. The pictures show my current overclock which ran fine in Prime95 for four hours. In the BIOS XMP is greyed out, if I manually change memory settings the bios will not keep the changes.
If it's not possible to roll back the bios can you take a look over my overclock settings and let me know if anything is wrong or if there are any improvements I can make please.

My son tried to play Fornite yesterday and the pc hangs after about five minutes.

Thanks

Not this, that's not related to bios flashing.
Follow the steps below that when its says for BIOS update.

Hi,

That's worked a treat, I've managed to flash E7681IMS V23.8B8 & I am now able to select XMP.
If you don't mind, can you take a look over overclock settings that I uploaded Dropbox link and let me know if anything requires changing or if you have any suggestions.

Thank you very much for your help
