Hi guys. okay so I bought this motherboard a while back and waited a while actually before trying to use it. When I started it, it was working for a small while but just went off. Now I'm not getting any response from it but the PCH heats up very quick and gets really hot. After inspecting the PCH I found some small scratches that seem like cracks. Read that some of the MSI motherboards (especially the Z790's) due to a faulty heat sink screw or something like that. Now here's the problem I'm facing currently... I can't register the motherboard on my MSI dashboard to log a RMA and I've lost the details to my account (Takealot South Africa) to log in and see my previous orders to send it back to the distributor which I bought it from. I cant seem to be able to log a ticket and I'm struggling my [***CENSORED***] off to get this thing back to either get fixed or replaced. Please I need some advise on what steps I can take to get this back to MSI and get a replacement board.

if you have the serial number of the motherboard and the chk code (they are both in the physical motherboard, check msi support web for knowing the exact location) you can register it with this new account that you are using now, but you will need the recipe of the buy that you did from the store where you get the motherboard, if you dont have that i think its hard to register the product in that state. I hope this helps!

You need to register the MB thru the serial number for MSI Support and then ask for msi warranty support thru msi online service
