So I got a really good deal on the DDR5 kit of ram and Z790 Tomahawk DDR5 board. Originally I had the DDR4 version of the Tomahawk. But since swapping the DDR4 board with the DDR5 version I noticed that my VCORE is at 1.5 according to CPUZ HW Monitor. I crossed checked it with HWINFO64 and that is reporting 1.2-1.28 Volts. So I’m inclined to believe that over CPUZ. However I just find it strange that the DDR4 version differs from the DDR5. I’ve been using CPUZ HW Monitor for over an decade and I actually prefer using that. Has anyone else with an MSI Z790 DDR5 board noticed that CPUZ reports inaccurate voltage reading?

What BIOS version board is using?
Do you use everything at stock settings?
Have you checked it with CPU-Z instead (not hw-monitor)
and in BIOS Setup, and with MSI Center?

On BIOS 7D91vH5. I’m using Lite Load 5 with a 0.55 undervolt, RAM has its XMP enabled at 6000MHZ. Voltage reading in the BIOS and HWINFO seem normal. Haven't checked CPUZ or MSI Center. I'm getting 85 degrees at full in Cinebench so I'm not throttling . Just curious if anyone has gotten weird HWMonitor readings with this board.

It's probably wrong reading.
