Z97-G45 Bios "corruption" through HDMI

This is my first time with a MSI board and giving me a great headache.
I'm using a HIS R9 270X videocard and a z97-g45 motherboard.

If the Display is connected through a DVI-VGA adapter the Bios shows correctly, however when I try to use the HDMI interface I can see the MSI logo kind of fine (it looks zoomed) BUT the BIOS setup screen is corrupted and a blue message "This Bin File is incorrect" is displayed.

The motherboard came with Bios 2.2 Installed and now is updated to the latest 2.5 version.
The Videocard works fine with both of my older Motherboards, an Intel DH61WW & an Intel DG31PR.

If I don't press DEL to enter setup using HDMI the system boots "ok" (I have to configure the bios first using the VGA connection and then switch over HDMI) and "SEEMS" to work fine BUT I'm very worried that it would corrupt the BIOS or screw up any of the components (RAM, Processor or even the whole system).

I never had problems with any of my previous MB (19 years of using Intel), help is really appreciated.

How did you update the BIOS? MFlash, LiveUpdate or other method?
Try >>Clear CMOS Guide<< with PSU power cord removed.
Also ask HIS for possible vBIOS update.

It is a Panasonic HDTV LCD model: TC-L37X1

I will try clearing the CMOS when I get home, also will try asking HIS for a vBios update however the Videocard works fine with the same LCD using both of my old systems.

As expected.
Many systems has compatibility issues with TVs, so if possible, please try HDMI connection to a standard PC monitor. If you don't have a monitor, speak to a friend. This would let us know whether it is indeed compatibility issue or BIOS/GPU/motherboard issue.

I can confirm the very same:
Using different video cards ended the same result over TVs capable of working as monitor: while using the VGA analogic connector the video it's perfect even at Full-HD resolution, on HDMI connector the image it's screwed (on the pattern of static images, such desktops, jpeg images displayed, text letters etc).
Problem does not sussist over videos or videogames for some reasons.
Using HDMI (really it's a HDMI to DVI, still digital) on my 21" only-monitor brings a perfect diplay.

Some TVs allows you to bypass some extra image-scans (as underscan, overscan, auto image adapter etc) bringing it to 1:1.

Still the result ain't optimal.
I suggest you either to use the VGA only (or even the DVI, if your TV has the DVI white connector) or to change TV. Last TVs seems to have solved this problem.
This for samsung at least, yet I'm fine with my 2009 VGA TV in Full HD at 60 fps.

In this case it is not related to underscan/overscan, in fact the windows desktop over HDMI looks fine, The problem is accesing the Bios over HDMI, I get the messed up image as shown above.

Well you are lucky then..
still, it's most probably a display issue (as reported, try out a single monitor-only display as 9-proof)

In that case it should be advertised that it is only guaranteed to work with PC MONITORS or at least a page with known incompatibilities. I mean there is no support whatsoever, basically you are just telling me "HDTV doesn't work with this, PERIOD".

Oh sorry for telling the truth that MANY devices that are not dedicated for use with TV (like DVD player is dedicated but not PC really). Flashing BIOS might resolve this, but personally can't help you with this.

I already flashed the most recent BIOS and did not help.
If this "device" is not dedicated for use with TV or any "display" different than a Standard PC Monitor it should be stated in the product box, MSI website and Online Retailers Websites that is Not guaranteed to work with such displays.
And I'm really Thankful for your honest answer at the end, you did what you could.

I will post my results in a few hours, maybe I find a workaround and other users can benefit from it.

Well, that's the issue that TVs (and projectors) are different from monitors. I've tried my PC on projector and TV: on projector it wouldn't display ANYTHING properly, with TV, yeah.. same: BIOS. Otherwise was good.
Although this happens only through HDMI, so I simply suggest to use DVI to set things up in BIOS, and use HDMI after.
