There is a feature that is on the MSI CSM-B85M-E45 motherboard bios that I am asking if the Z97-G45 Gaming motherboard bios could get added below, exspecially the bold portion:

M-Flash
Compared to common motherboard which need extra BIOS chips, MSI?s M-Flash has a double advantage which doesn?t need extra components and secondly, all your BIOS data will be saved in the USB drive. The stored data does not only have backup and upgrade function, moreover it can also be seen as a portable BIOS chip which is actually able to boot up your PC.

This function seems be canceled after all the 9 series motherboards, you can ask msi if they could add this function back to the new boards or not

if you check the bios setup option, you should be able to see an option called OC profile, this function is the same as the Mflash bios save function which you could give it a try  :emot-tip-wink:

I can currently save my bios to a USB no issues, I want the feature to be able to boot a bios off a USB, which would allow to test bios updates before flashing and maybe bricking a board

From the short experience I have with it I can tell you, it simply doesn't work.
If I try to boot with different BIOS version than I have installed I get error, that data does not match my BIOS (or something alike) and it won't boot until I pull out the USB card.

Nicely advertised, not much so implemented.
Don't fall for marketing gimmicks.

This board has this feature like any other MSI board.
It's the standard save BIOS and boot from USB, they just had enough feature to advertise for this board that they did not put it on it's page.
