Z97 G45 Won't Post

I've read the forum and it seems I have the same issue as others here and elsewhere with the no-post problem with this board and the Intel Core i7 4790K.

As others have reported both the CPU and Case Fan start spinning but no video out of any of the 3 on-board ports.  There is a light (Audio boost I believe) that lights up on the board. 
Have tried swapping out the Ram (single stick all 4 slots)

I emailed tech support and a stock troubleshooting guide but no answer to the question of what bios version is installed in this board out of the box.

Is there any way of gleaning anything from this serial # 601-7821-050B1411219xxx

Unfortunately I have no access to another Haswell CPU to upgrade or determine the bios.

There is no Z97 cpu that does not support any Haswell Refresh cpu including the K cpus (Devil's Canyon). Your board is most likely even at the latest bios there is as it is according to the S/N manufactured November 2014.

Bios support is not your problem.

Your comment that "There is no Z97 cpu that does not support any Haswell Refresh cpu including the K cpus"  seems to be contrary to a number of posts in other forums but I will defer to your obvious credentials and try your suggestions especially in the light of when the board was manufactured.

Such problems are limited to Z87 boards.
