MSI MotherBoard Error Message
« on: 14-September-06, 10:51:42 »

I am receiving the following error message from MSI MotherBoard whenever I switch on my system.
"Your computer case has been opened. Press space to skip the message and continue."
After pressing the space key, the system boots and works normally.
I am getting this error message only after installing my DVD Writer last week. Could anyone of you let me know on how to fix this error message.

Hello and welcome!

What motherboard is it?

In BIOS there is probably a title like "PC intrusion - enable/disable/reset" somewhere. Choose reset.

Have you tried clearing CMOS?

sathish,

from the little information you have given us, it is clear that you have accidentally dislodged your chassis intrusion switch when you fitted your DVD writer, so you should open your case again, and make sure it is seated correctly

if it is not that, then you'd better give us some more information to prevent any more useless guesses ;-))

Hi All,

Thanks for your suggestions. After resetting the Chasis Intrusion in the BIOS, the issue got resolved. Thanks again.
