* Close any Windows app. that can be closed, especially Antivirus or any other resident scanners.
* Extract all files from proceed_B350_TOMAHAWK_190.rar to some folder
* Run proceed.exe, and confirm with "Y" when asked to update the BIOS
* Reboot computer when its done
Hi, Svet,

Could I get the same one to flash back to 7A37V16 on B350M MOTAR?

Thanks
Best regards

I was able to flash the BIOS and get all the way through everything but now nothing is showing up on my screen and I can't get to the BIOS or anything.  Has anyone run into this before?  MSI Z270 SLI Plus.  Updated from v1.4 to v1.9.

Try a different stick. Also note that you need to boot the stick in legacy mode.

Hello. I need some help. I have MSI p67s c43-b3 motherboard and before i was able to hit even 5ghz back in 2011 and later on i lowered the clock to 4.5 ghz for better temps and so on and i left those settings for like a year or more. One day my friend flashed the new bios for me and that is the moment i remember i started having problems with OC. Right now i have 2500k@4.2Ghz with 1.35V and i cant pass those 4.2 ghz because everytime i will get BSOD and trust me i tried everything and that is insane considering i had it on 5ghz before and 4.5ghz(with lover voltage) before.I think my problem is bios that i have (version 5.4 ivy bridge support) that is lowered my OC becase that is when the problem started. I need help to downgrade bios to lastest verison before ivy bridge bios support update because i wana try hit 5ghz again so i can drive my gtx 1080 Ti as best as i can while waiting for my cpu upgrade. I also need to know will the latest bios before ivy bridge support update support my gtx 1080 ti ?

Rest of my spec:
- CPU: Intel i5-2500K @ 4.2 GHz
- GPU: ASUS ROG STRIX GTX 1080 Ti 11GB GDDR5X
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro DDR3 16GB @ 2133 MHz
- PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 850W G2
- SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 250GB
- MB: MSI P67 C43-B3

- Mouse: ZOWIE by BenQ EC2-A
- Mousepad: Razer Goliathus Speed
- Headset: Kingston HyperX Cloud
- Keyboard: Corsair K65 Rapidfire

Okay, i'm stuck here

I have a Z68A-GD65 (G3) motherboard running currently BIOS version N.70 (E7681IMS.N70)
Got the latest BIOS from here: http://download.msi.com/bos_exe/mb/7681vP8.zip
1: When I download and try to use E7681IMS.P80 inside the BIOS utility, I'm told that there ain't any files on the USB i've inserted
2: If I rename the file to E7681IMS.N70, the BIOS utility finds it but informs that the file is not for this motherboard and it's not recommended to upgrade - when i did it I had to reset motherboard to factory settings
3: When I use the BIOS UPDATE 1.10 tool from MSI, I'm told that it's unable to allocate memory and it reverting
4: When I use the EFI Flash tool 1.05, I'm informed that "Using the wrong AFU version. Please use Aptio 4 AFU"
5: When I use the USB designed from here, I'm informed that it's the wrong flashfile and it reverts
Can somebody help me out here? - is it the wrong file I'm trying to use? - I've tried with the .P10 as well, with same results...

When I attempt to run the flashing tool, I get the following error in the app:

Furthermore windows asks me if I want to use a program to open a file.

How do I proceed from here?

EDIT: Running Windows in safe-mode does not make it work any different.

Is there any reason 9C would be displayed when booting with the USB Drive plugged into the computer? I am using a MSI 990FXA GAMING motherboard. Do I boot the USB Drive in UEFI or Legacy?

9C is a error with the USB device that is plugged in not being properly detected

what USB Device is causing the issue you can work it out by unplugging devices one by one?

9C can be the issue only if its stuck there and didn't moves further
else its just a regular checkpoint code.

Can anyone attach the flashing tool onto a post? I can't seem to download the tool from the link in the first post, no matter what I do. The media fire site gives me an error that the file can't be found, or the entire site gives me a "connection was reset" error. :bonk:

nope, its too big size to be attached in a forum post
forum post attach size is very limited mainly only for simple generic images

I need help flashing bios to 5.4 so I can use and Ivy Bridge Intel CPU but I tried everything and it doesn't seem to work.
Bios Link https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/P67SC43_B3#down-bios

So, what I have done so far.
1. I downloaded the bios 5.4 but it is in .exe format and stated that I put it on USB drive, execute it, then it will restarts comp. I did that and it restarted comp, even put it as bootup drive. It stated everything is completed but bios still shown E7673IMS V1.19 in the BIOS program.
2. I use the Forum HQ USB flashing tool, but there is no .ZIP/.RAR file of my bios. I tried searching a file in the USB Drive and it found a file, ran it, and told me to restart comp. I restarted comp, boot as USB, ran it, and then it said ROM file ROMID is not compatible with existing BIOS ROMID.

I really need help flashing the bios. Please help! Thank you.

Motherboard I use P67S-C43 (B3)
Current Bios E7673IMS V1.19

I just want to double check to make absolutely sure: on the OP, with the download, it says "Attached files are visible to logged-in users," but I am logged in and no new attachment has shown up. Below that is a mediafire link called INdeb. Should I be downloading the INdeb file, or is the file attached to the OP and I can't see it for some reason?

Stupid question I'm sure, but I'd appreciate any help!

yes the link is fine, its no longer attached after version update
because forum server don't provide enough space for file attachment anymore

Hi everyone !

I have an MSI Z77a GD65

I have succesfully find the last bios version from MSI HQ Forum and do the preparation of the USB key with success !

I can boot from the USB key

But when i launch the flash from the DOS menu of the USB key

this message in blue appears :
"You are not authorized to perform this action"

And then, the screen of the end of flashing (i suppose) appears...

How can i get the authorization to perform this action please ?

I've been trying to update my BIOS.

I have a msi Z87-G45 Gaming motherboard and have downloaded the 1.8 version (1.9's file seems broken) from:
https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/z87-g45-gaming
My current BIOS version is 1.2

I've set my BIOS to [Legacy + UEFI] (only have option for UEFI or both), fixed my USB with the tool, used the tool to get the files on it but it still boots normally after I choose to boot from the USB after I've pressed F11 (Tried both with the one named "UEFI:"at the start and the one without), only difference is that before the Windows logo there's a black screen with a blinking underscore and than after Windows loads it opens the USB to see the files.

I see the flasher is missing for 1.9,
you can use Mode2 to flash it in such case

Have you done "Fix My USB key" tool's option 1st?

Okay, I'll add that instead of 1,8 then.

I have done the "Fix My USB Key" option before adding the file with 1,8 to the USB. Would it make any difference to use the "HP USB Boot Utility" instead?

use this then, pickup Rufus:
https://rufus.ie
and make it bootable with "FreeDOS"
then re-run the tool but skip fix my usb key
go directly with mode1 and rest of stuffs

The forum HQ USB Flashing tool requires a password? Am I missing something or has the file been locked?

went to update my msi h61ma e35 to latest bios.....and when using the bios download from the boards support section (v230) it froze after starting the update.
nothing would make it respond, and i knew when i turned power off it would be a no post situation...which it was.
so dug out my old bios flasher and flashed a chip to v120 and then fitted it in my spi header adapter, got the board reflashed to v120 but intel me was messed up/.

then i found this part of the forum and using the tool to do the usb stick formatting and then mode 1 selection, i now have it on latest beta v241, and intel me now ok :)

many thanks for this handy tool :))
