P7N Diamond Liquid Cooling
« on: 14-July-09, 14:14:36 »

hey guys, just a quick question

on the ends of the heatpipes on my motherboard there are little caps that look like they screw on and off...can i therefore run liquid cooling through the heatpipes then, or are they not a continuous loop?

thx!

i was lookin at the thermaltake big water 760i btw

if the heat pipes can not be used for liquid cooling what fan would you guys recommend to help keep the mb cool?

Hi Nailezs, & welcome to the forum. :welcome: Could you provide screen shots of your board detailing the 'caps' you are describing? I know AaronYuri, a forum member, liquid cooled his P7N D., so he may be able to give you some pointers.

whats MCP?
i took another look at the heatpipes - i think msi changed them when i RMA'ed the board because there are no caps like i remember on the end of the heatpipes.

For clarification:  I never liquid cooled my actual board, but I liquid cooled the CPU.

It can be done, however...

Pchas01 cooled his P7N with liquid (that's his board above), but I'm not sure of the components he used.  Look through his posts, and you will find them.

There's two heatpipes for the P7N Diamond.  Could you take a picture of your board in its current state?
