K9A2 CF and Windows 7 64bit
« on: 30-September-09, 16:03:19 »

I am having problems installing 7 64bit, I installed 7 32bit to get the system up and running. In hardware profile it is telling me that this is a ACPI x86-based PC and wont allow me to change it.
I installed the lates bios for this board and the specs for the board say that it is 64bit capable. what do I do?

Yes thats normal as you installed the 32bit version. What did you expect to be able to change it to?

You need to boot and install from a Windows 7 x64 DVD.

Do you have a spare, newly formatted hard disk to try, again? As little in the system as possible.

Don't be unhappy if you are not successful.

Will you be running applications/programs that require 64 bit OS? If not why are you trying to install it?
