msi 890gxm-g65 overclocking problem
« on: 17-July-10, 10:23:58 »

Before when overclocking fails it shows an error message in the POST but now it will not POST anymore wherein led1 is lighted and my graphics card fan is blowing at 100%. What I usually do is to turn off my pc for about 5 minutes then turn it on again where everything works fine again including the overclock settings set previously is saved. Any idea what seems to be the problem?

Unplug the power and do a CMOS reset.

Try with only one memory module. If you can then get into your BIOS, set your memory speed to 1066 for now.

My system works fine but what I want to know is the reason why my mobo does not show any error messages anymore when overclocking fails, switching OC profiles and hitting f10. Wherein it will not POST, displays black out screen and graphics card fan blowing 100% that I need to wait for another 5 to 10 minutes in order for my system to boot up properly.

the same thing happens with me when i take FSB to 280 while OCing the system wont boot for a while and i havnt checked the LED light and GPU fan when it happened  :bonk:
