Hi There,

I recently bought the AMD X6 1055T, 89FXA-GD70 and transcend JM1333KLU-2G RAM. I had my earlier XFX 8500GT PciX16 graphics card.
Upon assembling, i found that, in BIOS, the DRAM shows 1333 (667 MHz) and am unable to understand why is this.
I was expecting the RAM to operate natively at 1333MHz but it is operating at only 667MHz. I ran CPUZ and found the same 667MHz speed there as well.  Is it because of my graphics card? Whether graphics card also has to be DDR3?
I tried Over clocking and set the cpu 215x14 and found the processor to be working at 3.01 GHz but RAM increased only to 771MHz.

What is it I need to get the native 1333MHz RAM speed?
Thanks in Advance.

It's double data rate RAM so 667 x 2 = 1333mhz. Your RAM is running at 1333mhz.

Thakx Mark :)
How to check and confirm the correct working speed of RAM?
Is there any utility? Where should i be looking for the current memory speed?

You can tell what speed it's running from looking on CPU-Z. Under the memory tab you've said it's showing 667mhz, which tells you it's running at the correct data rate speed of 1333mhz.

If you want to test the speed, you can run the memory benchmarks in programs like Everest and SiSoftware Sandra.

There is also a sticker on the memory stick.

If it wasn't true 667/1333 RAM it would have been showing 533/1066 which a lot of the so called 1333 is. Those other 1333 "rated" RAM sticks are 1066 rated to run OC'd at 1333 but will initially boot up as 533/1066 RAM and then you would need to manually OC them to 667/1333 yourself. Same story is true for 1600 RAM.

Thanks guys. :)
I did OC my bios and CPUZ says 774MHz, which i believe is very safe OC.
I will post back my results soon.
