Graphics card: EVGA Nvidia
RAM: G-skill 4 GB
Power supply: Corsair 650W
CPU: AMD Phenom II 965BE 3.4 GHZ
System has been working for 3-4 months until now.
1.Okay, so I moved my computer from my dorm to my room.
2.Computer booted up successfully, but would not recognize my GTX470 card at all (onboard video for the mobo works though).
3.I upgraded the bios from 3.4 to 3.9 and cleared CMOS.
4.I reseated the graphics card (unplug the two PCI-E power cables, take out, reseat and replug power cables).
5.Boot up and it works.
6. Shut down my comp overnight, turn it back on, again my card not recognized. Reseat the video card, and it works again.
7. Same as 6 for today
Any idea what the problem is? It's really annoying having to open my computer and reseat the graphics card every time I want it to work. I have made sure the Bios is set to PCI-E as the default video adapter. No problems such as crashing or anything... system seems stable after reseating and booting.
Thanks for all your help!
