How To Hide BIOS_RVY(W:)?
« on: 06-April-11, 07:49:15 »

When I used MSIBurnRecovery, I get a screen that says "Prepare files...please wait" ,but it never starts.
so after that i restarted my Notebook, and then there's new drive called Bios_RVY(W:)

Right-click Computer in the Start Menu and select Manage. Then look under Drive Management, right-click the recovery partition, and remove the drive letter. Then it won't appear in Computer as a useable drive.

:hat tip:

I Tried this things, but it doesn't work, so when i right clicked in drive management, the only pop up just seen only "Help"
and there's no name for the Bios_RVY(W:) in Drive Management.
Anyone got this problem too?  ;-(( ;-(( ;-((

You hide it by removing the drive-letter.

Your screenshot shows the recovery partition doesn't have a drive letter.

Well if your drive management screen is correct, then it should be impossible for the (W:) drive to show in your Computer screen. :noidea:

What happens if you assign a drive letter to this partition in Drive Management?

can't assign it, the only pop up was shown when clicked is "help"
this happen cause of bug in "MsiBurnRecovery. a program for burn dvd recovery and when started a pop up shown "Preparing Files Please Wait"
But it never started, So i force restart it then there's a recovery partition in my computer "Bios_RVY(W:)"
must i reboot my windows ?

I got the fix now
just insert a blank dvd for recovery disc, before you started "MsiBurnRecovery" and wait until it start..
then your recovery partition will be hidden as before..
thanks mod for the help.
