BIOS 1.E for P67S-C43 (B3)
« on: 14-December-11, 09:02:46 »

Hello,

I noticed that MSI has a new official BIOS for my mainboard. The description includes:

- Update CPU Micro Code.
- Update memory module.
- Update M-Flash module.

My system appears to be running stable and I'm not currently overclocking it. Given my system specs (included in the signature below) would I see any benefit from updating the BIOS? I am currently using BIOS version 1.D

Thanks

If your system is stable and you have no problems, then don't change your BIOS. The good old, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".  ;D

Berhard,

Thanks for the reply! I figured as much.

I was just reading up on G.Skill's forums and apparently there had been issues with compatibility between their memory and MSI's 67 boards in the past that was fixed/tweaked via a BIOS update in the past. I wasn't sure if the new "memory module" be a benefit to me or not. I thought it better to ask than risk the BIOS flash.

We are not very fond of GSkill mem on this forum because of the amount of past problems. For some it works and you seem to be one of them
If it works, great. No need to change anything.  :hat tip:

Bernhard,

I had noticed that  Luckily, I picked one of the sets off the 'tested' list.
