« on: 16-January-12, 03:17:34 »

Hi , My mainboard model is G41m-sp20
the official MSI site doesn't have the above model listed in the 17 models of MS-7592
i have searched for sp20 model and found nothing , although i downloaded the MSI live update tool and it told me that my motherboard is one of the 17 model of
MS-7592
so , please help me how can i find G41m-sp20 drivers and manual
and why not listed in G41m Products (17 models of MS-7592)

Thanks in advance

Do not use Live Update! You cannot trust it. You might have a so called OEM motherboard, taken out of for example a HP, Dell or Compaq, and if you use it to update for example BIOS you can kill the motherboard.

From where do you get the "SP20" part?
There are for example "P21". It carries the no. 7592, too.

I have only been able to find places that sell it (some stores in Africa and Europe) and no information at any of the MSI websites I've looked at. Your best bet would be to ask MSI tech support about it.

Nothing printed on the 'board itself? Between the card slots for example.
On the back side there might be serial no. or FCC no., which could help the identification.

Fredrik, there is such a MB model. The problem is there is none to be found on MSI websites that I have found yet. As I said I can find them for sale in Czech Republic, Egypt, Zaire and some other places in Africa & Europe. MB name is next (on the left) to the memory slots.

What is the number on the sticker on the BIOS chip?

Yes, that was dumb of me! Ser. no. and FCC no. could be useful, though.

If you don't update BIOS, this can't be very wrong:
http://www.msi.com/product/mb/G41M-P43-Combo.html
S for Small and P for Pentium.
And I find no "dangerous" drivers for it either.

One can also see the stickers on the USB port (I think) and right next to that.
