Hi, I have the Z77A GD 65 mainboard. Just switched on and there was an update for Live 5 so I installed that, I was then prompted to update Control Center and Click BiosII so I did so. When I try to run Click BiosII I get an error msg telling me that it as been removed and I cant run Control Center has it dosent seem to be present on my pc at all.

Ive re scanned with Live Update 5 and it's telling me that I don't have Control Center installed and that Click Bios II needs up dating, so Ive re downloaded and still the same prob. Ive tried to remove Click Bios via the control panel and I get a msg telling me that the setup files are corrupted. As for Control Center it still dosen't seem to be installed.

Not many here at the forum are very keen on using any of those utilities. Especially Live Update. Recommend to do all driver downloads, UEFI/BIOS updates and such manually. UEFI/BIOS updates using the forum's USB flash method.

If you want them, here is the link to download and install drivers and utilities manually.

Added: Programs and Features in Control Panel should show what is installed.

Ok, so Ive downloaded both Control Center and Click Bios II from the Z77A-GD65 ( msi website) link above and the same thing is happening. They have both installed but neither of them will run.

  • Read the user manual first. Properly

Time to roll back to your prvious versions from the installation disc and inform MSI technical of your findings. >>How to contact MSI.<<

Still cant get it to work. It just stays on the splash screen and nothing seems to want to load. I am thinking that my orig bios update was no good, should I try the second bios?

Switch to your back up bios and see if all is well. If it is, uninstall live update and check the website periodically for updates.
If a bios update is nessesary: >>Use the MSI HQ Forum USB flasher<<

You may also switch to the other bios once the flash tool has loaded to re-flash the corrupted bios. In other words, boot using good bios into flash tool, when the screen comes up asking for input, reach in and switch to the bad bios. Proceed with flash.
Not a bad idea to run memtest first which is on the tool.

Clicked the bios switch and when I boot I just get a blank screen.

The bottom line is, my bios is the latest version but Click Bios II will not load, I am at a loss as what to do.

Perhaps I am not understanding the result when you try to boot. The computer loads to windows but you can't enter Bios? -try unplugging any extra usb and see if it improves
It could be the bios version that is the problem or an improper flash.

Tips : Use Revo Uninstaller to uninstall softwares completed that usually hard to uninstall (corrupted sofware) with windows uninstaller tool.

I have used this board with BIOS V10.3 or latest V10.5 and no problem with control center latest version and live update although I didnt use live update to flash BIOS, just want to see if it works and check my drivers. I always trust to MSI HQ USB FD flashing tool when comes to flashing BIOS :)

Btw did you install first "Intel Management Engine Driver"? (Intel7s ime mobo) It needs to be installed to have control center up & running.
