PCIe 2.0 and PCIe 3.0 Help.

Hello There,
im using MSI 970A-G45 and i have Radeon HD6850 . 6850 running with 2.0 PCIe x16 .im planning 1 week to buy new Radeon HD 7850 and i found from pokerSeries with Core CLock:910 MHz well bus type is PCIe 3.0 x16.
i stucked when i saw that... can my 970A-G45 run this card? or not? and whats the difference on 2.0 to 3.0 on plugs.

The cards are backwards compatible, it will just run at pcie 2.0 which won't make a huge difference anyway.

I would suggest updating your bios prior to installing the card though.

actually my biggest questio is the PCIe version. is about the mainboard? or i need to update the BIOS as you said?whats the latest BIOS? because i checked with the live update 5....
yea i know that.. the difference on the Battlefield 3 is only 0.45 betwixt 2.0 and 3.0 version.

The board is PCI-E 2.0 and nothing won't change that. The bios update is meant for ensuring compatibility. As xmad said a 3.0 card will work fine in a 2.0 slot.

i dont really care if it works as PCIe 2.0 or 3.0 i care if it will works generally :P .i updated the BIOS before 8 months i think .without flash . or something like this. i download the bios from live update and i installed it with .exe ... is this right?...

It's maximum risk but as you already did it and it worked fine. The new .exe bios versions in fact can just be flashed with the method it comes with.

actually i tried before 1 hour. i cant now . can i brows the file with MSIHQ tool ?

Unfortunately currently the only way is the .exe method.
so i plug in a USB flash and im making a folder with the bios update and after? im loggin from bios to USB and open the .exe?
