And you are using what OS? Is it the same that came with the notebook or did you install it yourself?

Uninstall S-Bar and reboot. Install Microsoft.NET Framework 4.5 and reboot. Install S-Bar 2.0 (Ver. 4.5) and reboot again. Install Nvidia VGA OC and reboot.

Now it should work again. If not uninstall current vga in safemode using >>Driver Fusion<< and after reboot install a MSI vga driver: http://www.msi.com/service/download/nbdriver-19264.html
If now works retry with a Nvidia driver: http://www.nvidia.com/object/notebook-win8-win7-64bit-320.49-whql-driver.html

Ditch that tool - it's nearly useless. On my GT70 it just raises memory clock from  900 to 927 which is almost inconsequential. Use MSI Afterburner if you really want to overclock - which without bios tampering is less succesful, too.

Hello,

I've got the same problem: I have GT70 0ND and Windows 8, which is came with the notebook. I was using VGA OC tool in the past, but after some update of NVIDIA drivers (probably 321) it stopped working at all. As soon as I am trying to switch it on, it displays two on screen messages: VGA OC is on, VGA OS is off. It seems like NVIDIA changed something in drivers, because I have some problems with other 3rd party software, like displaying temperature, even NVIDIA System Monitor stopped working. I was waiting for an update of NVIDIA driver and hoped that they fix it, but right now I am on 331 version and VGA OC don't work. Obviously that installing old drivers, as you suggested, is not a solution at all. Do you plan to upgrade VGA OC tool to work with the modern NVIDIA drivers?

Thanks

VGA OC is unfortunately currently useless. In my GT70 0NE with Win8 and 680M it worked by raising memory speed to 1854 MHz. Without turbo button it lowered the core speed to 758 MHz from the default 771 MHz! Turbo button gave 771 MHz back. With the latest drivers (331.58 atm) and Win 8.1 it does nothing (except without turbo button the core speed is still lowered). It would be nice to have overclocking behind a button but in this case Nvidia Inspector or MSI Afterburner are the only working alternatives.

If you really want the tool to work with the newer NVidia drivers, do this...

Go to the tools link and/or folder, and make sure that it is told to run with "Administrator privileges". This should fix any issues with it not functioning properly.

Great, thank you, with "compatibility mode" and "run as administrator" it works now.

Surprising. In my case running in win8 compatibility mode and as administrator  it does nothing. Turbo pressed the clocks are 771/1800; turbo off 757(clockdown!)/1800.  So I have an useless knob that at least has a nice orange light and forgetting to push it clocks my core down...
But mostly it must be Nvidia fault, they have changed something in the latest drivers, after 3.1x.xx.

Btw, tried from MSI Dragon2 downloads the latest MSI 326.80 driver. They advertize it as: Nvidia GT720M/GT740M/GT750M/GTX765M/GTX770M/GTX780M/QUADRO K3100m Graphic Card   Windows 8.1. Actually it does support a long list of cards beginning from GTX 285M and 310M and should support Vista/Win7/Win8/Win8.1 64bit just like all recent drivers. Works fine on my 680M except VGAOC still doesn't work. In every case a driver worth trying. But that MSI support, well.....

I'm not quite sure what the problem here is.....it's doing what it's supposed to.

You press the button, your clock goes up (albeit only very slightly, from 757 to 771, but it still goes up, ie into 'Turbo Mode'). You turn turbo off, they go down (back to 757). That's what it's meant to do.....

Were you expecting more perhaps? I'm just not sure what the problem is...because this is what it's always done. If you want higher clocks, you'll need MSI Afterburner.

No problem, but the default after a clean install without MSI software was 771/1800.  And after VGAOC the mem speed with turbo rose to 1854. GPU core speed never rose from 771 but went down to 758 without turbo. I wonder if that tool works better on Win7? On Win 8.1 it doesn't work at all.

Hi,

I have the same problem, when I turn my VGA OC on it just turns itself off again. My laptop is an MSI gt 780R with win 7. I have tried following the tips in this thread, but it is still not working. I would appreciate help with this!
