New RMAed board had no accessories
« on: 04-January-19, 10:07:43 »

I recently RMAed my motherboard (Gaming M7) and they have sent a replacement board that is not the same. I followed the instructions of the RMA and kept all accessories for my initial motherboard. I did not receive any accessories for the new motherboard that they sent me back (which is a different board).

My question is, is this normal and what should I do? For example, I am stuck with a I/O Plate from my old motherboard that is not compatible with the new replacement board, so I am stuck now with no I/O plate on my computer. Is there anywhere I can go to obtain these accessories. Idon't think I should be responsible in buying them myself as this was an RMA. It was not my choice that they decided to send me a completely different board.

Thanks

So I contacted MSI and told them about my issue with regards to having no accessories with my replacement motherboard (such as the I/O plate) and they just created another RMA for me and appears that they want me to send my replacement board in again? It almost didn't seem like they didn't even read my comment to them. The replacement board works well and has solved my issues I was having with my initial board, but because this replacement board is a different model, I am stuck with accessories specific for my old board (such as the I/O Plate) that I cannot use with my new replacement board.

Is there any other suggestions on how I can obtain these accessories (that should have came with my replacement board) without having to send the replacement board in again on a new RMA?

That is really a shame.  Was it a refurbished motherboard, too?
