MSI Z97 Gaming 5 - Debug code e0
« on: 24-March-15, 23:29:53 »

Hello,

I recently built a computer using MSI Z97 Gaming 5 motherboard. After about a week it is not booting, video card is showing e0 on debug, which is not listed in debug codes table in manual.

Specs as follows:

CPU: Intel Core i5 i5-4690K  (bought new with motherboard)
GPU: Asus GTX 650
PSU: Corsair 500 wats
RAM: Some dedicated for gamin

I took off the RAM and motherboard still shows up e0.

Use one stick of ram on DIMM2, if no change take out the battery with the power cord unplugged.

Hi,

Can you please be more specific on system components you have? See >>Posting Guide<<

With taking battery out.. see >>Clear CMOS Guide<< It should clear BIOS into default values. So once you remove the battery and unplug power cord, it should (after 5~ mins) go back to default settings so you could then replace the battery back and power PC up and see if it helped anything.

Also would be worth if you try without graphics card and any HDD/SSD but with only: CPU, 1 RAM stick, PSU, Motherboard of course and maybe HDD/SSD that has OS on it, and monitor obviously so you can see if anything happens. Disconnect anything else (keyboard, mouse, speakers) etc.
